<p>This is the 12th running of this award winning event where you “Leave the City Behind”. Come enjoy the scenic views and hills of the countryside in rural Washington County. This event begins and ends at the Gordon Faber Hillsboro Stadium. Be ready for your friends and family to cheer for you as you cross the finish line in the middle of the stadium floor. There is nothing like it! This course is not a flat course and we are proud of that. Since when does life NOT have ups and downs? To help you celebrate this challenge the Helvetia Tavern will be at the stadium to deliver their delicious Famous Helvetia Burgers (or garden burgers) to all finishers. Widmer Brothers will also be at the race serving their world famous beers at the beer garden. Enjoy all of this and live music at the 12th Annual Helvetia Half Marathon & Widmer Brothers 10K.</p>

Speaking Feb. 16 at a Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. conference in Washington, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said that new industry oversights mandated by Dodd-Frank would not injure an already fragile community banking system, American Banker reported. Community banks have complained of overly aggressive examinations and are fearful of getting caught in Dodd-Frank’s reach.

<p>The Hippie Chick Half & Quarter Marathon is a run through beautiful Washington County. The course will run on flat, tree-lined streets beginning and ending at Hillsboro Stadium. There will also be a Hippie Kids Fun Run (one mile). Awesome Brooks “Hippie Chick” technical running shirt included and a delicious pancake breakfast at the race. </p>

<p align=”left”>Pendulum Aerial Arts invites the community to its annual spring performance in their residence at the French American International School. After a busy year of touring with the company’s show High Art, “Up, Up, and Away” is Portland’s only opportunity to see the company in this intimate setting, complete with artists’ meet-and-greet after each show.</p>
<p>The show will feature acts on aerial hoop, triangle, straps, and ground based acrobatic acts. Many of the pieces are fast becoming signature pieces for the company’s artists and many more will be audience favorites re-worked to reflect the artistic journey that each Pendulum artist goes through every year they’re with the company. The women in the company will debut a group piece that is inspired by the Cell Block Tango from the musical Chicago. But of course, these ladies will be flying through the air!</p>
